The Hwangchil of Jeju
sumang912

sumang912's Hwangchil Farm is the first Hwangchil Farm in Korea to study

the native environment of Jeju Hwangchil trees and achieve a self-sustaining environment where Hwangchil trees can grow after many failures such as

damage to Jeju's wind wildlife and adaptation to the farm environment.

It is a farm where all the heads of trees have an average of 20 years of age or

more of Hwangchil trees, and the oldest Hwangchil trees are grown by growers.

It is not a well-maintained farm, but an old forest where animals and

plants such as Jeju's wild plants and roe deer pheasants live together.

Why, is it Jeju Hwangchil?
Soil
It is a volcanic soil containing 10 times higher organic matter than ordinary soil, and it has a high porosity and does not stay hydrated for a long time, making it most suitable for the growth environment of Hwangchil tree.

Wind
Since the four sides are made up of the sea, strong winds containing minerals of more than 5m per second per year blow throughout the four seasons, limited by length and volume growth, resulting in constant and slow growth without bias to one side.

Temperature
The average annual temperature is 15.6-16.9℃ / The average annual minimum temperature is 12.1-13.9℃, providing the best temperature for Hwangchil trees, an island in a warm climate.
Longest in Korea,
40 Years of Jeju Hwangchil

The good ingredients of the Hwangchil tree are contained in the yellow sap, which begins to be produced only in trees that are at least 10 years old. Hwangchil trees, which belong to arboreal trees such as ginseng/wild ginseng, are more effective and weak as they are received. All trees in sumang912 are more than 20 years old, and Hwangchil trees are evenly collected and sold for at least 20 to 40 years of age.
